Death Angel + Dew-Scented + Extrema - Concert Review

Good morning Guys!

There are a lot of good concerts in Munich lately, choosing is difficult. I've decided to attend Death Angel concert last Wednesday (04.12.13). Since I really, REALLY, like their new album "Dream calls for Blood", I didn't want to miss them. I was not disappointed!

The night started at 19h30, with Adimiron, a band I didn't know. They are good, and they tried so hard to warm up people. I really wanted them to succeed, but there was almost nobody. They played for 30 minutes, and I will definitely check them out, and listen to the three CDs they've released so far. Here is a link to their website, if you wanna check them out.

Then, it was Extrema. I didn't know them as well. I've found them funny! In a good way, I mean. They are playing Trash, but the singer has a very punk attitude on stage. The way he dances, the way he gave us Fuck You all the time. But the music was good. They have two CDs, and they worth few minutes of your time! They were a good introduction for Dew-Scented. Here is their website.

The two first bands were discoveries for me. Dew-Scented, I did know them, but I was not aware of all their songs. I was very impatient to see them, so I could have a general view of what they do, and feel their energy on stage, which is important to me. They played a bunch of songs I didn't know, and I am very grateful for that! I now want to dig more into their material. Their performance was a very nice moment during the gig, because people started to really get in the mood. I guess it's because they knew the band. It's hard to go in front and to headbang when you don't know what's playing. Dew-Scented really brought the metal vibe into the concert, and people were ready for Death Angel. Here is their Facebook Page.

Death Angel. Gosh, they were freaking amazing! They played a very nice mix of new and older songs. Markus is always so energetic, jumped everywhere (how the heck can he jump SO high btw?!). Half way through the show, Markus introduced us to all the members of the band. I found it very nice and thoughtful. The band have known a lot of changes in the past years, and a bunch of people may not be familiar with all the members. Death Angel played for maybe 1h30, almost 2h. They are running for a while now, but they are still awesome!

If you have the chance to go to this gig, DO IT! I was there on my own (all metal friends were out of town/had something else) and not so many people were there, but it didn't affect the show. The performances of all bands were good, especially the one from Death Angel. Go and buy their new CD, and enjoy!

Stay Heavy!

Cheers! \m/
