Metalhead in Munich: Agalloch - Celestial Effigy Review

Agalloch - Celestial Effigy Review

Servus Metalheads!

Does it happen to you sometimes, to feel like a little child when you know a new album from a band you love is coming up? I'm feeling like this since yesterday. Since I've listened to the new single of Agalloch, Celestial Effigy

HOLY METAL! This song represents perfection. Pure Awesomeness. A slow and mesmerizing beginning, without distortions. After a short moment, the singer whispers. Gradually, the singer's voice becomes more present. The music gains in speed and in loudness, but the sound stays pretty raw. The band doesn't hide behind tons of effects. They just give you some god damn good music.

I could listen to this song over and over again (and I will for sure!) and I won't get bored of it. I can't wait for the whole album The Serpent & the Sphere, which will be released on May 13th in North America, and on May 19th in Europe.

If you haven't listened to this masterpiece yet, do it, now! Here is a video:

Let me know what you think of it!

Cheers! \m/
